Júlia Florit-Pons

About Me

Júlia Florit-Pons is a first-year PhD student at the Department of Translation and Language Sciences at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona, Catalonia), carrying out her research under the supervision of Dr. Pilar Prieto (ICREA/UPF) and Dr. Alfonso Igualada (UOC). Her research focuses on the role that multimodality plays in the language development of typically developing (TD) children and of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Developmental Language Disorder (DLD). Specifically, she aims to analyze how multimodality can boost narrative and pragmatic abilities of both TD, ASD and DLD children.

She holds a B.A. in Applied Languages and a M.A. in Theoretical and Applied Linguistics from Universitat Pompeu Fabra.

Research Interests
