The scientific objectives of the Group of Prosodic Studies (GrEP; Grup d'Estudis de Prosòdia) focus on the interaction between prosody and segmental phonology, the interface between prosody and pragmatics, prosody and syntax, as well as the construction of theories and models about these aspects of prosodic interactions with other disciplines. Important areas of interest include prosody and intonational phonology, as well as the early acquisition of prosody and the role of audiovisual cues in interpreting prosody.
