Corpus Bosch & Sanna

This is a corpus made up of oral texts, mostly personal narratives but also songs and poems. The recorded subjects came largely from rural communities, with a few representing an urban or seafaring background. For all subjects Alguerese was their mother tongue, with varying degrees of command of Sardinian and/or standard Italian. At the time of the interviews in 1995, the subjects were between 60 and 84 years old.

The recordings were made using an analogue tape recorder and transferred to a digital format in 2010. Unfortunately, by this time the quality of the recordings had deteriorated. Nevertheless, given the literary, ethnologic and even sentimental value of these materials, it was regarded as important to make them available online.

Data were collected by the interviewers Andreu Bosch i Rodoreda (professor of Catalan language and literature) and Maria Antonietta Susanna Sanna (professor of Arts).
